Symptoms

Access 2000 is installed on your system, but when you attempt to add an Access 2000 project to the SPEED Ferret workspace, the Access 2000 driver incorrectly reports that Access 2000 is not installed.

Cause

SPEED Ferret expects Access 2000 to be installed under the name 'Microsoft Office 2000'. This is normally the case when Access is installed from a Microsoft Office 2000 CD-ROM. But Microsoft has provided some customers with CD-ROM's containing only Access 2000. When you install Access from an Access-only CD-ROM, it will be installed under the name 'Microsoft Access 2000'. SPEED Ferret's Access 2000 driver does not recognize the name 'Microsoft Access 2000', so it erroneously concludes that Access 2000 is not installed.
