SymptomsSPEED Ferret reports run-time error 91 (Object variable of With block variable not set) when you click the OK button in the Access 97 or Access 200 Project Parameters dialog box. CauseSPEED Ferret was unable to open the workgroup file that you specified in the Workgroup Filename field. The most likely reason is that the specified file is not a valid workgroup file. Another possibility is that your Microsoft DAO and/or Microsoft Jet software installation is damaged in some way. BackgroundEvery copy of Access comes with a default workgroup file named system.mdw. This file is normally installed in the windows\system (or winnt\system32) directory. It is also possible to use a shared workgroup file located on a network drive. Every copy of Access also comes with a copy of Microsoft DAO (Data Access Objects) and the Microsoft Jet database engine. SPEED Ferret uses DAO functionality that is not required by the majority of Access applications. So you could have a problem with your DAO or Jet installation and not know about it until running SPEED Ferret. SolutionWe have improved the error handling so that SPEED Ferret explains the reason why it is unable to open the workgroup file. You can download the latest update to SPEED Ferret 4.0 from our downloads page. |
